Mallory Vincent - Original Block Prints by Mallory Vincent
Product Description
Mallory Vincent was a vendor at the Hilo Farmers Market for 22 years, but was actually involved with the market longer, when he collaborated with local artist, Avi Kiriaty. He was known for his wry sense of humor, which you can see in his hand-printed, linoleum block, t-shirt prints. Mallory Vincent and Peggy Nelson created hand-printed, "multi-original" t-shirt and garment designs since 1995 on the Big Island. Mallory carved linoleum blocks from his original designs and hand printed, mixing colors as he went along, making each print unique.
Peggy created beautiful blouses, dresses, chill chasers of 100% rayon, Tank-Tops, T-Dresses, Canvas Bags, Body-Buoys and delicious Hawaiian Chili Pepper Jelly. Mallory's t-shirt designs, such as "Filet and Release" were favorites of both locals and visitors alike. He always had a joke when you visited his booth.
Mallory passed away in September, 2017. Peggy passed away in June, 2017.
A little known fact about Mallory, is that he was a bush pilot in Alaska in his younger days.
